Ceremony and wedding in a castle, travel theme [part1]

BlogLast September, I was delighted to take care of the coordination of Elodie and Romain’s wedding, and especially to be the officer for their commitment ceremony. More than one year of preparation and DIY decoration (made by the bride and groom) really pretty and sought after. Soft, modern colors: ivory and coral!

Event DS had also set up their Wedding Blog as you can see in the screenshot.

Today, they share with you their history and day D! We’ll go into more detail concerning the commitment ceremony in another post which will comming soon ūüėČ

Bride and Groom note: “Marriage is and will remain the most important journey of discovery that man can undertake”
S. Kierkegaard
Meeting: At a barbecue at our mutual friend Ludovic
Proposal: On top of a crane in the evening of the festival of Saint Cloud fireworks. An unusual setting, wonderful views, a sound and magic lights
Preparation and organization: Several months of preparation, during which we have invested both of us. And our WP has been of great help with good advice.
Places: Civil Ceremony Mayor of Nice (06), commitment ceremony and party at Chateau Mentone in Saint-Antonin-du-Var (83)
The mood / theme: We have a common taste for travel, so travel theme was logical for both of us. And the colors white, ivory and coral for the pleasure of the bride
The dress / Fashion: We fall in love each one for our part concerning dress and suit with a surprise assured the D-Day
D-Day: A sunny day, full of surprises and emotions. We let ourselves be carried by a huge wave of happiness
An anecdote: I forgot two times my flowers’ bouquets; One for the town which was fortunately replaced by a rescue bouquet bought next to the town hall. One for the ceremony that I forgot in my room. Luckily my lovely photographer has realized in time and ran to recover.
And if I had to do: to think of it, there are always little things we would do differently. But at the end you say “Nah, I would not change anything” because it is also these small defects that make this unforgettable day
Do and Don’t:
Do => Have a WP to be quiet during the preparations and the D Day / Take the time to ask for a moment and make “Photo shots” in our head to savor and fix in our minds those magical moments.
Don’t => Wasting time with futile things
